Courage Fitness on Track for a Million Dollar Revenue Year, Credits LASSO for the Boost

Over the years, David Rubin, the owner of Courage Fitness in Durham, North Carolina, had dabbled with paid ads on both Facebook and Instagram, and it brought him “varying degrees of success and failure, but mostly failure,” he said.

In February 2023, though, his business was coming off “one of the worst six month periods in our history," he explained, so he decided to try paid ads again.

This time, though, he wanted to find an expert to help him.

Rubin turned to LASSO in March, 2023.

Where he is Today

A year-and-a-half later, Rubin is averaging $84,000 a month in revenue, putting him on track to gross one million dollars in 2024. Prior to LASSO, his monthly revenue was closer to $66,000 a month.

Worth noting: After just once month, Rubin had reached his return on investment.

From a leads perspective, Rubin’s gym gets roughly 110 leads every 30 days, many of them from paid ads, and others from referrals, community outreach, as well as from Google and website leads.

“The thing is though, by running successful paid ads, all of the other (marketing) poles are more successful, too, because the ads drive people to our website and to Google search our gym, as well as to our organic social media pages. Paid ads improve everything,” he said.

He added: “They’re able to test their copy across all of their clients to figure out what what a Facebook and Instagram audience responds to. Doing this on a grand scale is way more effective than me trying to figure it out myself in just my local market.”

This also means Rubin is now attracting people he never would have been able to reach before.

“We have been in business in the same location for 16 years. One might think everyone know who and where we are, but that’s just not the case. The most effective thing about paid advertising for us is that it magnifies our existing online presence,” he added.

Best of all, working with LASSO means paid ads have become largely a “set it and forget it process,” Rubin said

“We described our business and our process in detail with the team at LASSO, and they developed the text and creativity that will help attract the most qualified people to fit in our system,” he added.

Needless to say, Rubin recommends LASSO to all gyms, but especially to gyms who are either struggling to grow, who aren’t growing as fast as they would like, or to gyms who are looking for sales training, as LASSO also provides ongoing sales training to gym owners and coaches.

You’d be “foolish to not seriously consider working with a professional team to generate high quality leads and help you with a process to capture them and turn them into long-term clients,” he said.
