Proven Formula for a Revenue Generating One-Liner

Do you and your staff know your one liner by heart?

Do you have a one liner clear enough your customers understand and can repeat it?

Test: Who can save you 15% in 15 minutes on your car insurance?

I bet you know GEICO can!

It's clear and they repeat it over and over till you are able to memorize it.

Don't be wordy or cute with your words. Be Simple and Clear.

When you use too many words or insider language you are going to lose your customers.

Today we are going to give you a simple formula to create a one liner that will increase revenue and inform your potential customer how you will improve their lives.

Three Part Formula

1. The Problem

Have you ever watched a movie without a problem?

Think about  for a min... if Jason Bourne never had to figure out who he was and his identity, what would the movie be about?

If you do not lead with the problem your customers will lose interest. When you lead with the problem your potential customer will be engaged.

Here is an example, if you own a Pediatric Dentistry: "Most parents get stressed when they think about taking their child to the dentist"

It's clear and broad enough that everyone that has a child understands the problem.

2. The Solution

Connect the solution to the problem.

If you talk about a different solution than the problem you stated you leave the customer wondering if you can really solve their problem. Be sure to use your business name in the solution. Geico can save you 15% or more in 15 minutes. Not a "car insurance" can save you... they make sure they mention their business.

Back to the dentist office: "At (insert dentist office), our fun and welcoming office puts kids at ease"

3. The Result

What will life be like when the customer buys or uses your service. This is the climax of the movie where we the hero (your customer) wins! Keep it simple do not use insider language that they will not understand and make sure the result relates back to the problem you first stated.

Dentist office: "so they aren't afraid and their parents actually enjoy their dentist visit."

So lets put it all together:

"Most parents get stressed when they think about taking their child to the dentist. At (insert dentist office), our fun and welcoming office puts kids at ease so they aren't afraid and their parents actually enjoy their dentist visit."

Make sure you say it out loud, ask five people to listen to your one liner that do not know what business you own.

If they say what do you mean by this part?

It's too unclear and you need to give it clarity!
